This course, led by an instructor and spread over five days, will enable you to acquire the knowledge and skills required to configure and manage an Exchange Server 2010 messaging environment. No knowledge of an Exchange Server is required, but students should have strong experience in managing Windows Server and Active Directory directory services or Active Directory domain services (AD DS). This course will explain how to configure the Exchange Server 2010 and provide guidance, best practice and various elements to consider that will help you to optimise Exchange Server deployment.

  • Managing recipient objects
  • Configuring the client access server role
  • Managing message transport
  • Configuring the secure flow of messages between the Exchange Server organization and Internet
  • Implementing a high-availability solution for mailbox servers and other server roles
  • Planning and implementing backup and recovery tasks for server roles
  • Planning and configuring the strategy and messaging compliance
  • Configuring Exchange Server and security permissions for internal and external access
  • Analysing and ensuring maintenance of the messaging system
  • Moving from an Exchange Server 2003 or Exchange Server 2007 organization to Exchange Server 2010
  • Configuring the unified messaging server role and corresponding components
  • Implementing high availability across multiple sites, as well as associated sharing.
